The façade of the house looked lovely with strings of flowers and ornamental decoration. Satisfied, she turned around to go back into the house. Just then she noticed the stone-grey driveway – it had been overlooked. She brought out strings of yellow marigold flowers and made curved patterns along the sides. To add some more colour, she filled the gaps with rose and orange marigold flower petals. How beautiful it looked.

The dignified beauty of this grey silk saree is taken several notches higher with the addition of yellow and a multi-coloured pallu. Wear and it get ready for all the compliments which are going to come your way.

While every effort is made to present the sarees in their natural colours, subtle variations between images and actual colours may be the result of lighting conditions and digital photography, and the colour/screen settings of your digital devices.

Slight irregularities are inherent to the process of creating traditional handwoven fabric. Instead of taking away from the beauty of the saree, they enhance its uniqueness and charm. The irregularities attest to the fact that the saree is a genuine, handcrafted product.

Heritage and Origin

The saree has been handcrafted in Bhagaiya (Jharkhand), a cluster most famous for the manufacture of tussar silk yarn and fabric. Its predominance in silk manufacturing has earned it the name Resham Nagar (silk city). Skilled weavers, many of whom have been conferred prestigious national awards, have been carrying forward this legacy for generations. By reimagining weaving and dyeing techniques associated with traditional handloom products, the weavers are playing a crucial role in promoting sustainable, responsible fashion and reviving India’s traditional handloom products and timeless culture.
