Rust is mysterious. It hides, deep within itself, the secrets of brown, orange and red. It is the colour of fiery skies at sunset and the hue of autumn leaves. It is sensual and charming, warm and earthy. When you wear this masterpiece and step out, people are bound to say, “There goes someone with great taste!”
Fabric: Handwoven 100% pure tussar dupion silk and gicha silk pallu. (Since dupion silk is derived from raw silk fiber and is produced from two types of yarn: the warp comprises smooth, fine yarn while the weft consists of uneven yarn, the saree has visible uneven yarn in the body)
Colour and Design: Plain rust, colour has a two-tone effect. The border is plain gold zari border, not similar to the image.
Blouse Piece: Includes blouse piece (The blouse in the image is not a part of saree)
While every effort is made to present the sarees in their natural colours, subtle variations between images and actual colours may be the result of lighting conditions and digital photography, and the colour/screen settings of your digital devices.
Slight irregularities are inherent to the process of creating traditional handwoven fabric. Instead of taking away from the beauty of the saree, they enhance its uniqueness and charm. The irregularities attest to the fact that the saree is a genuine, handcrafted product.
Dupion, also known as Douppioni or Dupioni, silk fabric in its purest form, is derived from raw silk fiber. It is produced from two types of yarn: the warp comprises smooth, fine yarn while the weft consists of uneven yarn obtained from entangled cocoons (double cocoons). The result is a crisp, lustrous fabric which does not wrinkle easily. The rich, two-tone effect of the silk fabric makes it ideal for wedding dresses, formal wear and upholstery.
