Heritage and Origin

Benaras, one of the oldest living cities of the world, is a melting pot of numerous cultural influences that keep it’s flame alive. Our Benarasi handloom Saree with Rupa Zari motifs and bale border was woven in the outskirts of Benaras. The weavers have been working with this design for over 35 years, encapsulating its timelessness in threads of zari.

“Na jhatko zulf se paani ye moti toot jayenge
Tumhara kuch na bigdega magar dil toot jaenge”

Why was it that she drifted back to the warm embrace of soothing gold tones for her sarees? Is it because she felt like belonged to them? Or because of how it captured the very essence of her being, smooth like molten gold, gleaming under the moonlight, throwing caution to the wind as soon as she draped her saree. She felt the old-world charm while wearing this blazing mustard yellow light gold saree, it brought out the maroon of her bangles so skillfully.
